Get to Know Me

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Medical Illustration. As a medical and scientific illustrator I create anatomical and conceptual illustrations for web and print. I have worked with graphic designers and subject matter experts to create educational graphics and visual aids to enhance learning content. My background in medical illustration has made me fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. I am also a freelance fine artist specializing in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. I enjoy painting landscapes, animals, wildlife, and plant life.

I recently graduated from Quinnipiac University with a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design. As an instructional designer I implement, design, and manage multi-media learning resources that can be used for training, e-learning, and course instruction. Using programs such as Adobe Captivate I create interactive e-learning content such as simulations, demonstrations, and quizzes. I collaborate with subject matter experts to meet the needs of the learners and to ensure the learning materials are effective and engaging.

I was born and raised in Connecticut and when taking time away from my computer I like to go hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, and camping.  I also enjoy painting, reading, and spending time with my two rescue parakeets (Lucy and Laurel).
